According to the package a hamster is allowed to have one a day. So the occasional one is sure to be okay Nibbles loves them too and there is no added sugar, they are not sweet, I tried one

Yes, I read the instructions when they came and saw they could have one. I don't think I'd give him one too often though as we've said before they are quite big. I did try one and thought it was quite disgusting, but it's not me that has to like it Ness

Do you have much success with the stick's you can get, he enjoys his German biscuits which he has to help wear his teeth down. I was going to get some sticks but I'm concerned about him shoving it in his mouth and hurting himself! Ness

I don’t get sticks with seeds, I give him dried dandelion roots and they are great for wearing the teeth down. He takes them to bed I find them when I clean his nest

Teddy is coping ok with the weather so far, fortunately the cottage is always cool inside. Today is supposed to be the biggest test with temperatures so fingers crossed he stays comfortable, he has a lot of cool surfaces to go on! Ness

Morning everyone, I hope you've had a good bank holiday and I also hope you're all coping with this intense heatwave. Teddy so far has been coping he's been doing his usual things, thank goodness. We fitted a digital temperature gage on his enclosure so glad we did just for peace of mind. At the moment it's reading 21 ideally I'd like it to go no higher, we'll see. I hope nibbles is coping ok . Teddy sends his hammy love and hammy hugs Ness

Oh thank you big hammy hug from Nibbles. He’s doing fine, lowering his tank was a very good idea. It’s cooler down there. I am managing to keep the temperature between 23 and 24 degrees (I bought another big umbrella for the balcony today.
It is cooler after today, the temperatures are dropping again. Well at least I enjoyed my balcony on my short holiday

A big hammy hug back Nibbles and some I hope you like them my alarm clock says 29.8 . My pigs are bravely enduring but it must be difficult for them. They look at me and are probably wondering when normal temperatures are going to be back The fan has been on for a few hours. The plug is nice and cool, so I'm hoping, barring some rest periods, it will keep going for a few more hours I ate some frozen sweetcorn and it was quite pleasant Not something you would normally do

Oh dear, I wish I could blow away the heat it’s 25 degrees here and I don’t like it mum is very worried and does everything to keep it cool. She even watered the balcony floor! Sending you and the piggies lots of hugs and I will keep trying to blow that sun away
Btw I peed in my bed again so now I am in the house it just happened 🫪 hope mum will give me a fresh bed tonight, I got a piece of strawberry this lunchtime it was nice

They are Polo (white) and Truffle (chocolate brown). They are rescues but may have been lock down pets, so are probably about five. I had to give them their own cage each, side by side, as their bond failed and they stopped getting on.
