Doh! It’s warm and sunny here! I’ll post some pictures from my morning walk when I’ve had a chance to edit them.

I don’t main the rain if there’s a bit of sunshine but grey - ugh. Although sun has just come out.

I didn’t used to mind the rain, actually enjoyed a walk in the rain sometimes but now it rains every day I’ve had enough!

The bluebells are in full bloom in the South East of England! I had a lovely sunny woodland walk amongst the bluebells with plenty of birdsong, buzzing bees, butterflies, and blossom, followed by lunch in the garden :) Here's a selection of photos. These woods are approximately 100 yards form my house :)

It is warm and sunny again here. 2 days in a row when it has made 21. All set to change from tomorrow.
We have tried a little gardening. My fuschia looks to be still alive despite its severe cut down but despite peering anxiously at it, I can’t forecast its future yet.
Today I realised that I should scatter some Californian poppy seeds in the usual area. Some have self seeded from last year and I have tried to fill the gaps. I had plenty of seeds left from 2022 but last year was the worst ever. So many flowers came out but the seed pods I think were too numerous and very few made it to maturity for me to harvest. So I was relieved to see some self seeding.

That does look lovely Lovelyness, great photos, it looks & sounds a bit like another planet at the moment!
Good to hear that the wildlife is doing well somewhere though.

California poppies are usually pretty good at self seeding so I hope you have enough for another lovely show this year Coco.

Lovely photos Loveliness :-) It must be great having such a nice walk so close to home. Even though we live in a rural area, you still need to drive somewhere to go for a country walk!

Nice Periwinkle in the last photos. I could see plenty of Flowers but couldn't see "Blossom" out there :ROFLMAO:

Coco I'm looking forward to seeing your Californian poppies again :-)

I’m actually able to have a nice walk whichever way I walk out of my house…to the south is a wild flower meadow, to the west are the woods, to the east there is a nice country park and to the north there are playing fields and woods. There is also fairly easy access to walks over the fields and along the canal too. Not bad considering it’s only 20 minutes on the train into London from here!

It's all bluebells and dandelions in my garden just now. Lots of sunshine recently which has been wonderful.

Magnolia was out in full flower last month.

That's a lovely magnolia tree :) What is the bush on the right with the red flowers? Is it some kind of Azalea? Or a rose bush?

The magnolia looks lovely Tulsi.

Bluebells are starting to come out here too, lots of dandelions as well, hopefully the solitary bees will wake up soon while the dandelions are still flowering as they love those but no sign of them yet, it’s still too cold at night I think.
Nice bit of sun this morning but the rain is supposed to be back this afternoon.

You all have lovely gardens. I'm trying to get ours back into order after it was Neglected last year. 🙈(My husband wasn't well and I was working trying to keep everything going....he's still not well but I'm home now to look after him. So I can get more done around the house, till he's in hospital again then I'll be one of his named visitors)

Anyway, we have a lot of birds visiting our garden including siskins. (Excuse the rubbish pic taken through the window)IMG_20240412_132505938.jpg

In this weather I think it’s a good idea to take photos through the window! I’m off to Google Siskins :) It’s lovely having birds come to the garden. It’s surprising how quickly an overgrown garden can get back to normal when you have chance so I wouldn’t worry about it too much :-) I had the same thing a couple of years ago. The only issue was I think I pulled some plants out when I was weeding!

Lovely to see the siskin, one of my favourites & a regular here, sadly not as many as there used to be.

My garden is the same, got very neglected last year & I won’t be able to do much this year either, hopefully I’ll get to tackle it eventually.
