Henry has a short adventure last night, wanted out but once he was at the couch wasn't feeling it. Today I set up a flax Hunt, and it was good to see him go at the roller toy as well. His fur seems to be thinning out, I thought he looked thinner but he's still 56 G.

It was nice to see him so active and interactive yesterday. He was demanding an adventure very fiercely before bed and I stayed up late for it. I got a ton of kisses, we played with all his toys, and did a scavenger hunt. After all that, he posed and was waiting for more treats! He was insatiable last night

He ate or pouched all that flax! I love it at the start of the first video where he looks like he's boxing with the flax . Great to hear he's so active and adventurous

He has been building a hoard like a madman lately, pouches everything without fail. Also super active tonight, he hasn't gone this long on his wheel in months.

The past few days I've been cleared bedding out of Henry's sand bath, I thought he was just kicking it in by accident. Today I got a stern nibble when doing it, and watched him move some back over.

He built himself a mattress & pillow, and is all flumped out for sleepy time

Aw - he does seem to like sleeping in his sand bath It's like "it's all mine - I'm guarding it"!

I think you're right, the cooler sand must feel great for him. It's also unfortunately now his pee spot as of this morning so he will have to put up with an occasional clean

We had a ton of snow here, so I gave Henry another go at it. He ended up not being interested in the snow, so I set up a scavenger hunt with some flax sprays & paper bags which he liked before scurrying to my room.

He has a set routine with his adventures: always goes under the couch for several minutes, slowly checks out the play area & human, then either explores the living room or scurries for my room. He has an unwavering belief there's something amazing in the corner by my nightstand, always checks it out.

On the first video he looks excited and apprehensive at the same time On the second video you can really see him thinking! Working things out. This is white and cold, this is also white (bedding on floor) and looks like the other stuff but it's not cold Hamsters are very clever!

He has been doing that lately, I wonder if he is still a bit miffed about the sand bath. I tried setting my hand down close to him and he ran over to lick it then sat by me for a bit. I'm not sure what it is, maybe he's unsure about entering my territory too.

Could be! He loves getting his bearings under the couch, maybe he's making the big decision on what he wants to do.

Maz was right, Henry was thinking with his initial reaction on adventures. He is curious about me using the computer. I tried just using it as normal instead of sitting by his play area, he zoomed right over. I also hamster proofed the kitchen and he has been exploring it the past two days.

His eyes look tired, but he had a ton of zest on tonight's adventure. Great to see him moving around full speed and having fun exploring. And I can't let my little buddy leave without a snack!
