Jas, the hamster formally known as Jasper

I have to share about my sneaky little girl. So we came home tonight and the little girl was playing, so she got a lot of attention. Then she went into her MCH, didn't come out for cucumber, so we left it in the wheel. We were only 5 meters away taking about her, then 10 mins later had a little check, she had managed to sneak out and take the cucumber, without us noticing🤔

They're good at that aren't they? :) Cheeky Jas.

Had to do a clean today, so my OH got some cute photos. Jas has become a little laid back, believe it or not, she isn't coming out every day for a play, but when she comes out it is for quite a while. She has also started to come out in the mornings.

That little face! She's adorable. I think they're lovely at this age - a bit more mature, less skitty, more confident and more tolerant! But still active.

What gorgeous pictures of Jas! She has really settled now and looks so happy. 😍

Hi all, a little advice if you can. I have bought some hemp seeds for Jas, and have had them frozen for a week and would now like to give some to her. Can you advice, should I just give her a pinch of seeds as they come or do I need to ground them up first?

I think I'm getting confused. So, flax is linseed, which is okay everyday and the hemp seeds should be limited, like treats? Is that right?

Hemp seeds are fine whole, no need to grind them.
You could give a pinch daily if you’re trying to use them as an alternative to a vitamin supplemt, just a few seeds not too many, otherwise maybe every other day.
A pinch of flax daily is fine.

Happy Gotcha day to me,
I got a giant cake,
I didn't play with my boredom breaker,
Cause there was a giant cake!
(From Jas in the tune of happy birthday)
Happy Gotcha day, to my beautiful girl 🥰
