Funny things about humans-A thread for hamsters

Friends, have you ever had robo rage?
Beryl just turned up with a bunch of flowers and put them in a huge vase opposite my residency the Grosvenor Hotel.
Sounds thoughtful, ya? Well it is not as they are Sunflowers!! Sunflowers out of my reach but in full view. The cruelty of it.

Teddy: my humans would definitely put them in reach, especially the small ones... all I have to do is look at them and they immediately appear with food in their hands... not sure about the big ones though they have been up to something with my cucumber for sure!
 
I witnessed some really odd behaviour from one of the humans here yesterday. I was enjoying some millet when she came over to me and told me she had some cold sand to keep me cool. She put the cold sand in my sandbox. I begged for a treat which she obliged and then she put me next to the sand. I walked on it and had a wash to please her but then left as I did not feel like sitting on sand.

Later on she gave me one of my hides and it was cold. She said she put it in the fridge for me. I tried to push it off my platform and she then moved it and said I could sit in it. I did not want this hide in here as it belongs in my playpen! I gave her a stern look and she removed it. She gave me a pine nut to make up for this bizarre behaviour.

Poor humans. I think the heat is getting to them.
 
What is the big deal about washing hands? When I want my morning treat, the human runs out the room saying 'Let me just wash my hands'. I do not care about that and just want my treat right away.
 
Why do human eyes leak when their sad? Apparently my sister died. I never met her but I saw mummy cuddling her in bed and she had leaky eyes. Does she need to roll in my sand maybe? I tried to make her smile by being really silly 😜 but I definitely think she could use a sand bath? 😕

The humans messed up my treat this morning. I was happily sitting on her lap and she told me she had a piece of walnut for me. She opened a piece of tissue but there was nothing there! Then she shouted to the other human to bring in some walnut which he did. I was not happy having to wait a whole minute but I enjoyed my treat. Then I heard the other human shout 'Ouch!'. Seems he had stumbled across the missing walnut which was on the floor and he stepped on it. What a waste of delicious food.
 
When the human brings me my morning treat I notice she always smells of mint. I think she is scoffing sweets while I have to wait for my treat!

have you ever noticed when the humans talk about food and treats on this forum they never ask us hamsters what we think?
I would also like to point out I've never stopped any of the humans at my house from eating what they like.
Life just isn't fair 🐹
