Great to hear how much more confident she’s becoming & to know that your hands are safe! Plenty of time for out of cage bonding but I hope you’re back gets better soon & you can give it a try.

How is Saffron doing Eriathwen?

Shes doing well thanks! Still a bit nippy, but she will walk from hand to hand well and has attempted to climb up my arm a few times now. As long as I have sometime edible to distract her with, she's happy! Although she is back to being a bit of a ghost hamster, I haven't actually seen her much lately, but as long as she's happy that's fine with me..she isnt a toy, after all.

And thankyou for the well wishes for my back, it's still a bit of an issue but I have been seeing a physiotherapist and given a load of exercises to do to strengthen my back so hopefully it should be OK soon!

Lovely photo, it sounds as though she’s enjoying life, they often go through a bit of a ghost ham stage, she’ll probably begin to get more interactive & come out more with a little time.

Guess who came out to say hello as I was getting ready for bed! So of course, having been religiously doing my exercises from my physiotherapist, my back isn't too terrible at the moment so I took the opportunity to see how she reacted to being lifted up out of the cage. She didn't bite, didn't panic, nothing, not even when completely cupped so I could sit down on my bed with her to prevent her being able to jump into thin air!

Theyre not the best pictures because boy is she fast but for the first time ever, we had a bit of a cuddle and I'd say we're becoming good friends.

Very excited to introduce this absolutely beautiful girl, Saffron! She was being kept with her sisters but they started fighting so here we are she is, so far, incredibly confident and nosy, straight on her wheel after only having a little flying saucer. She has been having a great time exploring her new space, and hopefully won't be too hard to tame when the time comes.
Shes currently eating pets at home food which I cant wait to transition her off because its so awful looking compared to the seed mixes, but she seems to like it at least.
She is only a youngster, 8-12 weeks at most and has the most amazing little red eyes!

Little one was asking to come out a couple hours ago, I was getting ready to head to the athletics track so had to make it a quick one but couldn't say no if she was asking!!



Those were the only 2 decent pictures I could get.. the rest look like this she's so fast!
