Gardens and wildlife

Lovely to see snow drops. Around here the crocuses and daffodils are showing well. It’s a little early for the daffodils but it has been warmer than usual for February here.

The snowdrops look lovely especially in the snow!
Not sure if I have any or not, it’s been so wet I haven’t been that far down the garden but did spot some primroses & more crocuses, my witch hazel has been looking lovely for a while but it’s hard to get photos in the pouring rain!

It's quite sunny and windy here today although a few rain clouds in the sky - but yes it has been wet and grim recently.

I’ve been doing a bit of gardening indoors out of the rain, working on some terrariums, these are all new, the last few days or so, so still a bit of a work in progress & the plants need time to settle in & grow together a bit.

A floating garden in a mini glass cake stand, about 11cm I think.

A couple of little dome ones, just a tad bigger at about 13cm!

Thanks Coco & Lovliness smile 😊

Coco they do need a bit of pruning from time to time, it’s a case of mostly choosing slow growing plants that won’t get too big or at least not too quickly.
When I started last year I used quite a few ferns which most people do but they just love it in there & grow really big fast & swamp everything else so I’ve got rid of those & chosen my plants more carefully, I’m using some aquarium plants now too & they seem to grow slowly but well in terrariums, we shall see!

Lovely! Especially the primroses - are they wild ones? It's not quite spring where we are unfortunately - always comes a bit later here :-) The daffodil green shoots are out though. Snowdrops are still out.
