Gardens and wildlife

Lovely photo! We had a smidgen of that here but not enough to take a photo :)

Wow, that really is heavy snow! I hope it is not too cold for you.

It's cold but not too bad :-) It makes getting anywhere difficult! Hope Sainsbury's can get to the house tonight!

That really does look thick, I love the look of snow but it can be a pain so I hope it doesn’t cause too much of a problem.
We had a weather warning for snow today but I think it’s stayed a bit far north to get to me, same old rain still here.

I grow chilli plants most years, and this decided to have a go at selling some plants locally. I planted these on Saturday and some are just starting to germinate.

If they don't sell I'm going to have many, many chillies come September!20240208_144144.jpg

I am very impressed! I cannot grow anything indoors - nothing survives ha ha. I'm curious as to what the chilli plants look like when grown?

I can't find any of my own photos but they should look like this:

These will be growing inside under lights until the last frost and then they will go outside as they need plenty of sunshine.

Here’s a poem I wrote about the great outdoors!

Wanderings and wonderings

‘I wandered lonely as a cloud’,

Wondering about words of a poet of old,

Wandering,

Solo,

Yet in truth,

Neither lonely,

Nor even really alone;

Clouds scud together,

An accumulation of cumulus,

Or perhaps a stack of strata.

Trees branch out

Abundant with blossoms

And buds burst forth

With a big high five!

A flock of birds soar on the wing,

While murmurations of starlings

Wheel overhead.

A swarm of bees

Emerge into warmth

In search of nourishing nectar,

While an army of ants

March on with their work.

A bunch of yellow catkins

Dance joyfully and free,

A host of golden daffodils

Sway gently in the breeze.

The mycorrhizal network

Deep beneath the ground,

A wood wide web,

Connections made far and wide.

Wandering in creation,

Amongst the created,

One is never truly alone.

Those look fantastic - lots of greenery.
